It’s hard to imagine the Miami Heat with the Heat culture, and the duo Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem, without their iconic friendship. Just days after getting Miami Heat jersey no. 40 retired, the Heat legend revealed a humorous story about his former teammate and best friend, Wade.
In the latest episode of the Knucklehead podcast, the star sat down with the hosts, Darius Miles and Quentin Richardson to talk about his recent accolade and some hidden gems about his history with the team. Recounting the hilarious incident, Haslem detailed how Wade’s car, and a precious chain inside it, were stolen once.

Fortunately, Wade got his car back but couldn’t retrieve the chain. So, it was Haslem who offered to help him get his chain back. While assuring his friend he’d return the chain, the three-time champion also tried to scare him by suggesting he’d retrieve it even if it meant facing serious trouble.
“Somebody stole his car and he had a chain in the car. He tell me if I can find out if somebody stole his car,” said Haslem. Well, even though Wade wanted his chain, he didn’t want to have any trouble and hilariously fell into Haslem’s prank. Scared of this weird situation, Wade immediately asked his friend to stop looking for the chain.
“So I called Dwade listen my homeboy found out where you’re jewelry is at you said you want your jewelry back but listen I don’t know like however they get it back. He said na, I don’t want it back,” continued Haslem.
Both the hosts continued to laugh as Haslem detailed the hilarious story of how Wade crushed his hopes to become the hero who got his chain back. Along with the funny stories, there are several heartwarming moments of the duo as well.
