LeBron James is one of the handful of NBA players to have played in the league for more than two decades. As the new NBA season commences, King James is currently playing in his 21st year in the NBA. Apart from spending millions of dollars on his body and nutrition, the billionaire NBA star is clearly gifted by the basketball gods as he shows no signs of slowing down even at the age of 38.

In a recent interview, his sports agent and long-time friend talked about an instance where he gave LeBron some crucial advice.

In a recent episode of ?Club Shay Shay?, host Shannon Sharpe asks Rich Paul, ?I want to know this?How the hell did you convince LeBron to take his a** back to Cleveland??.

Rich Paul immediately replies, ?Legacy.? He further explains, ?It’s about legacy man…we come from a place where two brothers shoot at each other and sleep on the same bed. You going to put that over your legacy??.

After Shannon Sharpe asks what LeBron?s exact words to him were, Rich Paul replies, ?He was open-minded, but he wasn?t the first person I had the conversation with. You know, we close so I asked Savannah, Anglo, Mac, and Randy?we talked about it. But then again, this is my job, this is the role I play?in addition to LeBron, I talked to everybody.?.

He explains that since LeBron?s family trusts him completely, he barely ?comes to the table? but when he does ?come to the table? with something, they know it?s serious.?

Towards the end of the interview, Rich Paul admits to rubbing one stinging reality in Lebron’s face. In comparison to Kobe or Jordan who never gave anyone too much attention or importance (especially haters), LeBron is ?too nice?. Rich Paul reveals the truth about Kobe Bryant?s ?Mamba Mentality?. He mentions towards the end of his interview, ?Everybody (players in the league) didn?t always have the Mamba Mentality. The ?Mamba Mentality? came after Kobe was really done.?.

Shannon Sharpe adds to this, ?Yeah! Because everybody wasn?t proud of the ?Mamba Mentality? because they said he was a ball hog.? Rich Paul agrees as he states, ?Yeah. I was there? he (Kobe) wasn?t hanging out with none of these guys.?
