Charles Barkley is now 60 years old. The TNT organization states that they ?have people in mind? but why would they be looking for a replacement? Is Charles Barkley not a good enough sports analyst? After signing a 10-year $100 million deal with Charles Barkley, it goes without saying that TNT isn?t expecting Barkley to leave the network anytime soon. However, the TNT network is reportedly looking for replacements for whenever the famous ?Inside the NBA? co-host decides to retire from television.
Craig Barry is the current Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer for TNT Sports’ parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery Sports. He states, ?We want him to be here, but we also want him to be happy and to live his life, and when he feels like he’s had enough, it’ll be time to move on.?
Craig Barry further says, ?We have people in mind that we think would be interesting.? Charles Barkley had also earlier mentioned in an interview with ?Sports Illustrated? that he does not expect to finish his 10-year contract. Barkley confidently claims, ?There’s no chance in hell I’m gonna be working when I’m 70. Zero.?
So, it?s not a surprise that TNT is on the lookout for an ?interesting? replacement for the legendary Charles Barkley.

The personal relationship that Charles Barkley has with the TNT network is a special one. After joining TNT?s ?Inside the NBA? in 2000, the NBA legend has contributed majorly to the growth of the network over 23 years. Charles Barkley has given 23 years of his life to the network. The love and appreciation that the network and Barkley have received over the years has been incredible and they continue to reel in more fans to their show. However, Charles Barkley had mentioned that he does not plan on staying for the entirety of 10 years as promised on the $100 million deal.
Considering the special 23-year relationship that Barkley and the TNT network have shared, it makes sense that TNT is allowing Barkley the choice of retiring whenever he pleases.
