Just months after hanging up his boots, a Miami Heat legend recently celebrated a major milestone. Meeting someone special and being able to spend the rest of your life with them is not something a lot of people are fortunate to have in our current age. This 43-year-old former NBA star was able to say something that every person wishes to say one day. Even though he had the greatest career of any player in franchise history (as per Heat icon Dwyane Wade), this occasion must feel more special.
On this 10-year anniversary, Wade’s “brother” shared a heartwarming post on Instagram.

Haslem and Faith met at the University of Miami in 1999. He was playing basketball, while she was a member of the track and field team. They started dating in 2001 before finally tying the knot 12 years later on August 24, 2013. They have three sons together: Kedonis, Josiah, and Elijah. Haslem will hope to find as much success in his marriage as he did during his playing days with the Heat.

Many argue, including Dwyane Wade, that Udonis Haslem’s career is the greatest in the history of the Heat, not only because of his skills on the floor but also because of what he embodied for the team. He brought leadership to the team and is a symbol of absolute loyalty for Miami.

Wade calls Haslem his brother because they both were there for each other during the tough times in each other’s lives. They spent years playing together, and Wade has seen firsthand how Haslem is impactful to the team. This also led him to say Haslem has had the greatest career in the Heat’s history.
