During the interview, they spoke about the time when the Lakers’ legend visited the two coach’s respective teams. He shared some words with the players, which encouraged them to give their best. Expressing his opinion on Kobe’s words of wisdom, Belichick said, “When he came here and talked to our team, he said, ‘I knew I could never be perfect but I was always cutting the gap between where I was and perfect. And I knew I could never get there but it didn’t matter. I always wanted to be the best player.”

Kobe Bryant’s strict work ethic
