NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal is the loving father of six children. After Shaq’s retirement, he has built up a music career for himself and is presently displaying his passion for music as a DJ and performing all around the world. Shaq, always being in the spotlight, has propelled the careers of his children as well.

Shaq had four kids with his ex-wife, Shaunie Henderson. He also has a stepson from his ex-wife’s previous relationship, Myles O’Neal. Myles is the eldest son of Shaq. Even after their divorce, Shaq has shared the responsibility of co-parenting and is on good terms with his kids.

In a recent Instagram story from Myles O’Neal, he states that he has finished his tour, but rather than taking a break and resting, he is flying out to New York City at the moment to see his old man perform. He posted on his story that there was no way that he would miss DJ Diesel in action tonight at the Brooklyn Mirage.

Even though Shaq is not his biological father, the NBA legend has taken care of him and raised Myles as his own son. Myles was a model and a fashion icon before his dad’s music career influenced him, which pushed him into starting a career of his own in music.

Shaq is performing at the Brooklyn Mirage at Avant Gardner today in New York City. This is his last stop in New York before a 10-day break, and then he will be next performing in Denver on the 7th of September.

Shaq’s relationship with Myles

Shaq has always given high praise to Myles. Shaq has said that he has been the perfect child. He respects both himself and his mother, goes to school, and is extremely smart. He also said that Myles knows what he is doing and has been around the business long enough to understand everything that’s happening. Shaq also stated that he has had an amazing modeling career as well.

Myles once revealed in an interview with Ok! magazine that he went to thank his father for guiding him and assisting him in bringing out his talents after his collaboration with the multi-billion-dollar brand Bacardi.

Myles also talked about how his dad got him into DJing. He said that his dad took him in as a stage manager, which allowed him to fully understand what it takes to be a DJ and the struggles that followed with it.

Shaq has really rubbed off on his kids with both his skills on and off the court. While most of his kids have gone on to play basketball and have dedicated their lives to it, Myles is different and is pursuing his own passion.
