It has been 17 years since Michael Jordan separated from his ex-wife, Juanita Vanoy. But they never had hatred for each other. This has led to Vanoy being a constant in the lives of her children that she had with Jordan. She is seen going out for food with her kids and was also pictured at a Drake concert earlier this year with her kids.

However, the relationship between the kids and Vanoy’s family was questioned earlier last month when none of her kids showed up for her father’s 98th birthday. But almost one month later, one of her sons is suddenly showing his appreciation for his grandfather.

Michael Jordan’s son shares his appreciation

Marcus Jordan recently took to Instagram to share his love for his grandfather. Having lost one of his grandfathers at the age of 3, Marcus is really appreciative of the one that he has now.

It is his mom Juanita Vanoy’s dad. His name is John Vanoy. John Vanoy was born on September 14th, 1925. He is a World War II veteran and a former soldier in the Marine Corps.

Marcus posted the image today on his story Instagram and captioned it, “S/O TO MY GRANDFATHER, 98 STRONG“.

Neither Michael Jordan nor any of his kids with Juanita came to celebrate her father’s 98th birthday. However, Marcus Jordan left a like on the image posted by Juanita to show the celebrations at their place. But John Vanoy was not missing the love from his family members, as he had many children and grandchildren with him for the event. He is the father of six daughters. In an image, he was also seen getting a kiss from his granddaughter.

Marcus’s action has definitely sparked questions about whether it is because of Juanita’s approval of his relationship.

One parent approves of the relationship

Michael Jordan had already let everyone know of his thoughts about Marcus Jordan being in a relationship with former Chicago Bulls teammate Scottie Pippen‘s ex-wife. It was a resounding ‘no’. But Juanita, on the other hand, is much more open to the idea. She even commented on Larsa Pippen’s photo on Instagram and said that she looks gorgeous. This was after she and Marcus made their relationship public.

This approval from Juanita is major for the couple, as the two have a 16-year age gap and there are many who are not in favor of their relationship.
