The Candy Crush Saga recently hit $20 billion revenue mark since its 2012 launch. The developer company of the game, King, is now looking for new opportunities to promote the game. One step in that direction has been collaboration with ex-NBA star Jamal Crawford.

Jamal featured in a recent promo for the upcoming ‘Candy Crush All-Stars’ tournament. He shared the promo video on his official account on X. “First national commercial in this space…. A blessing @CandyCrushSaga,” read the post. According to the promo, players will have to collect special purple star candies and reach above level 25 to join the tournament. This will be an in-game tournament, but the finale will be live. “To celebrate, we watch two candy crush super fans’ face-off at our studio,” Jamal stated in the video.

It is worth mentioning that the game had its first appearance on a website and it later moved to Facebook. Subsequently, it navigated its way from the social media platform to the mobile devices of the players. The game received a tremendous response and has been downloaded over 5 billion times. Speaking on the new milestone of the game, the Candy Crush general manager stated how the developers have always focused on minute details in all the updates. And how they have focused on adding the additional levels to keep the players interested.

The latest step in this direction has been the announcement of the company soon releasing levels up to 15,000 for the most dedicated players. This is an additional step in the promotional activity for the game along with the upcoming All Stars tournament by King.
