Earlier this year, Tony Parker was inducted into the Hall of Fame. After a successful 18 years in the NBA, filled with championships and glory, fans were eagerly awaiting this moment. But his ‘second home’, the San Antonio Spurs, wanted to do something special for the former EuroBasket MVP after he achieved the ultimate honor.
The Spurs earlier this week decided to celebrate Tony Parker’s enshrinement into the Hall of Fame with a small change in his jersey, which was lifted into the rafters a few years ago.

During the San Antonio Spurs match against the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday, Tony Parker was in attendance at the Frost Bank Center. While the Spurs had already retired Tony Parker’s number 9 jersey a few years ago, they decided to make a change to it.
As Parker was honored with the title of Hall of Famer earlier this year, the Spurs celebrated this accomplishment by adding the ‘Hall of Fame’ to his jersey and unveiling it during halftime. Tony Parker came out onto the court and expressed his gratitude by saying, “Thanks for the support. You all adopted me. San Antonio is home for me and always will be home,” before waiting with the fans for the unveiling of his jersey.
Following the recent enshrinement from the Spurs, the NBAEurope page also decided to celebrate Tony Parker by showing some of his best dunks during his time in the NBA.

As his history with the Spurs has made him deserving of these honors, let’s take a look back at some of his greatest moments in a Spurs jersey.
Parker’s most iconic moments
Apart from the passion that he played with, a standout in his game was his teardrop floaters that he did anytime he was close to the basket. As he was mostly shorter than the rest of his competition, Parker worked hard to perfect this move, and it paid him dividends in his career.

Another iconic moment from Parker’s career is in Game 1 of the 2013 NBA Finals. With 10 seconds left on the clock, Parker slipped on the court while being defended by LeBron James. But he quickly got up and made the shot. This helped them take the lead in the series.
But without question, Parker’s best moment with the Spurs was his 2006–07 NBA playoff run. Even while playing with Tim Duncan, Tony Parker took the reins of his team and led the Spurs to a 4-0 win against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA finals. This is also his one and only Finals MVP award.
