As an NBA fan, one of the biggest missed opportunities is never getting to witness LeBron James facing Kobe Bryant in the finals. One of the biggest reasons behind this was the San Antonio Spurs. They were a big threat in the West and won four championships during the era of LeBron and Kobe.
The Spurs dominated with their unselfish style. No one on the team averaged over 25 ppg during their championship runs, but the team had a well-rounded trio that complimented each other. Now, years later, two of them are part of an elite list with LeBron James and Kobe Bryant that is no longer accessible to anyone.

Some of the greatest players in NBA history had a different path to the league. They were far better than their peers and did not have to spend a year in college to do so. Apart from Kobe and LeBron James, there are many players who made the jump directly from high school to the NBA, like Kevin Garnett, Tracy McGrady, and Dwight Howard.
But the ones that we don’t usually think of, who made a similar transition, are Manu Gin?bili and Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs. Being part of the dynasty has now put them on an elite list.
They consistently made it deep into the playoffs. This gave Ginobili and Parker the opportunity to make it to the “list of players who didn?t attend a U.S. college and have scored 3000+ PTS in eventual championship runs“.
Ginobili has played 218 games in the playoffs and averaged 14 ppg. He barely makes the cut with 3042 points in the postseason. Everyone else is way beyond the limit. Many players have made over 3,000 points in the postseason, but skipping college is what makes this an exclusive list.
Only four players who didn’t attend a U.S. college have scored 3000+ PTS in eventual championship runs:

Tony Parkey and Manu Gin?bili have also not gone to college and made it directly to the league. Parker had the chance to go to college and even got offers from UCLA, but he decided to play in France.

?The legendary Spurs trio
The San Antonio Spurs have one of the most decorated trios of all time. There was no clear superstar on the team. Tim Duncan, Manu Gin?bili, and Tony Parker were equally important to the team. They shared the scoring load together and built a dynasty in San Antonio.
Even though they were not taking over games all the time individually, as a team, the organization was tough to beat. Neither of them averaged over 25 points whenever they won a championship. But all three of them are now in the Hall of Fame.
