In his recent Instagram story, Dwyane Wade can be seen visiting ?The Book of HOV? in Brooklyn. The ?Book of HOV? is a tribute exhibition at the Brooklyn Public Library, Central Branch, recognizing Shawn ?JAY-Z? Carter?s extraordinary journey from Brooklyn?s Marcy Projects to becoming hip-hop’s first billionaire.

The three-time NBA champion looked extremely happy in his Instagram story, as he explored the tribute exhibition with his friends. In the one of the stories Dwyane Wade put up, he can be seen rapping to JAY-Z’s songs with his friends.

Dwyane Wade has always been vocal about his love for the rapper, record producer and entrepreneur, Jay-Z. The two have a good relationship as the billionaire rapper has even ‘name dropped’ the 3x NBA champion in one of his songs.

In an interview from 3 years ago, Stephen Jackson asked Dwyane Wade about his “favorite namedrop”. Wade immediately said “Jay-Z.” Notably, Carter ‘name dropped’ him in the iconic track ?Empire State of Mind?. The line goes- “If Jeezy’s payin’ Lebron, I’m payin’ Dwyane Wade.”

D-Wade could barely contain his excitement while recounting the first time he heard the line.

?I remember where I was at when I heard it. I was in a strip club, back in the day. Long, long, long time ago and uh, they played it casually. And I was like,?Wait, wait, what??. That was the first time I heard it. I went up to the DJ and said ?Play that again!?. Played it all night. I was like ?Mom I made it.??.
