Ever since his retirement, Michael Jordan has lived a very private life. While he steps into the limelight once in a while, MJ enjoys his time away from the court golfing and spending precious moments with his wife, Yvette Prieto. As per a video on the Nicki Swift YouTube channel, “Michael Jordan lives it large post-retirement, and Yvette Prieto seems more than happy to jet around the world with him on lavish getaways. The couple have traveled to several countries together since they tied the knot in 2013. And are often photographed enjoying playing tourist in some incredibly beautiful locations.”

In 2021, the trip was to Croatia on a superyacht with a “seven-figure weekly price tag.” The Yacht consisted of 2 VIP suites and 14 state-of-the-art rooms. “The two were spotted strolling the charming ancient European streets. Jordan enjoyed a cigar, with a large team of security flanking not far behind.”

Their 2022 getaway was a trip to Mexico. “The family stayed in a lavish beachside villa in Los Cabos. With paparazzi capturing the couple enjoying the sunshine poolside alongside Isabel and Victoria.” Italy was the destination in 2023. This time with kids along for the superyacht experience. The couple was spotted in the southern side of Sicily along with their daughters.

In the age of the internet and social media, neither of them can be found on any major social media apps. While MJ’s name is synonymous with basketball and he is known throughout the world, it is surprising to see how private his life is.

Despite her famous NBA player husband, Prieto maintains a low profile too. The former businesswoman doesn’t flaunt her fortune on social media but instead is running charity programs alongside her husband. Aside from paparazzi photos and the very occasional public appearance, you won’t see much of the couple online.

Part of the reason why she remains so elusive may have something to do with Jordan’s decision to maintain an uber-private life. Jordan decided early on that his personal matters should be private, especially after his divorce from his first wife in 2006.
