The NASCAR regular season concluded this past weekend. Amongst the major celebrities in attendance were Michael Jordan and his wife, Yvette Prieto. With his racing team, 23 XI Racing, coming in the 16 spot ahead of the postseason, the 6x NBA champion seemed to be in an ecstatic mood.
?jordansdaily?, an Instagram account with over 3 million followers, recently uploaded a clip of the legend warmly greeting NASCAR racer Bubba Wallace during the event in Daytona. Despite being declared non-playoff material by a NASCAR Insider, Wallace continues to get the respect of the NBA legend. The attention of fans instantly went down to Jordan?s feet, though.
His Airness was seen donning the latest J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 ‘Medellin Sunset’ sneakers. These Air Jordans are the latest release of the Jordan Brand, formed alongside a collaboration with 38-year-old Columbian singer, J Balvin, who boasts over 35 million records sold worldwide.

Also known as the ‘Prince of Reggaeton’, he and Jordan have shared a friendship for quite some time now. Back in February, as His Airness celebrated his 60 birthday, the Colombian singer acted as the night?s entertainment.
The ‘Medellin Sunset’ represents Balvin and his beautiful hometown
The latest sneakers highlight many contrasting differences between Jordan?s earlier work with Nike. They are adorned with white and cream colors on the front. The back of the shoes contains a mixture of red, blue, and yellow, representing a beautiful sunset over Medellin, Balvin?s hometown.

A smiley face with lightning bolts instead of eyes, considered to be the singer?s signature logo, is also attached to one side of the shoes. The Nike Logo will be adorning the other side.
The sneakers were originally set to be released to the general public on the 2 of September. The date, however, has now been postponed to the 23. They are expected to be released in low quantity, with only 12,000 fans getting the chance to own the ?Medellin Sunset?.
