Did you think messing with Shaquille O’Neal on the court was a mistake? Try messing with his pizza. The 4x NBA champion is seemingly very serious when it comes to his favorite food, as the global pizza makers that have him as a spokesperson would testify. Shaq made his presence felt at his precious pizza chain’s newest location and he’s making sure his signature dish is served with a side of respect.

In a hilarious little skit, Big Diesel brought his signature pizza to a new customer locale. He showered the staff with his aggressive love while he was at it.

Papa John’s has opened its 300th location in China with its new Shanghai franchise. Like the enormous board member and spokesperson he is, Shaquille O’Neal flew to Shanghai to boost the moods of the new staff and customers. While it’s all business on Papa John’s end, Shaq’s updates from his little trip have been nothing short of hilarious. His most recent Instagram Reel has left fans snickering.

You thought I was just glaring at you? I said more pepperonis,” Shaq, in his red Papa John’s t-shirt, growled before taking an employee in a chokehold. It was not the full force though, and they had a good laugh over it. “i said more pepperonis @papajohns love my hard working employees #shaqaroni #morepepparonis,” appropriately accompanied the post.

For reference, Papa John’s created the Shaq-a-roni pizza after their newest celebrity board member, Shaquille O’Neal. They brought the pizza back to their menu in 2022 with the renewal of Big Diesel’s big brand ambassador-ship. The Shaq-a-roni is appropriately the largest foldable slice by Papa John’s, loaded with extra cheese and extra pepperoni.

The mastermind behind it can’t have enough pepperoni on his pizza. But he took it out on his staff in a funny way. But livening up Papa John’s staff is not all Shaq’s been up to in China.

Shaquille O’Neal reunites with an old friend

Shaq was in attendance for a basketball game at the ongoing 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. Also present was China’s biggest contribution to the NBA, Yao Ming. While they were notorious for their clashes during their respective tenures with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Houston Rockets, they were chatting like old friends at the event.

Fans were just amused that someone towered over the 7’1″ giant for a change. It also brought back memories of Shaq accusing Yao of tricking him by keeping his fluency in English a secret.
