Carmelo Anthony and Kiyan have come a long way
Melo left behind a stunning legacy as an NBA legend. He was a microwave scorer, cementing his tale in whichever city he went to. His most notable time came with the New York Knicks. The 39-year-old played in the biggest market and was the most popular superstar on the court. A 10-time All-Star, 2013 scoring champion, and the recognition as NBA’s Top 75 player, Carmelo Anthony carved an enlightening career in the NBA.
But now that he has decided to retire, his next chapter begins. One that sees him be a mentor to his 16-year-old son, Kiyan Anthony. He has seen his father carve up defenses and build an NBA tale through his hard work. Fortunately, he was among the stars from an early age. A click, in particular, is going viral of the young Anthony in the 2010 All-Star locker room.

He was on Carmelo Anthony’s lap, still innocent and unaware of what the future would hold. Fast forward to 13 years later, and Kiyan Anthony is on his very own journey to engrave a career in the sport. The 6’4″ guard has scouts on notice with his sublime offensive arsenal. Much like his father, he is relentless when it comes to scoring points. As his rankings and interest grow expeditiously, the 16-year-old is unfazed by the looming shadow cast by his NBA father.
Carmelo Anthony has passed the baton onto the shoulders of the young Kiyan. He is driven to make his NBA dreams come true. Yes, a legacy rests on the shoulders of the young man. However, his response to the suffocating pressure has been nothing short of remarkable. Tennessee, Indiana, Illinois, Syracuse, and more colleges have expressed interest in the Long Island Lutheran Guard.
