The sons are here for the rescue! Receiving disrespectful takes is nothing new for the 4-time champion, Shaquille O’Neal. However, this one coming from his own team must have hurt the 7-foot giant. The LA unit has been Shaq’s second home for years now. Keeping in mind what the 2000 MVP has done for the organization, it is no doubt that the Big Diesel is a Lakers legend. Yet, the $5.9 billion organization failed to give him the credit he deserves. This disrespect from a 61-year-old has led Shaq himself to react on his Instagram.

Not just the LA legend, but two of his sons also decided to react to the shocking take from a Lakers member. Looks like the LA team could be in big trouble!

Shaquille O’Neal and his sons are not having this wild take

Shaq had a three-peat with the Los Angeles Lakers alongside Kobe Bryant, winning every available chip between 2000 to 2002. The superstar also won his only MVP in 2000 as the leader of the LA unit. Playing eight years for the franchises, Shaq averaged nearly 30 points and 14 rebounds in his prime years there. Yet, that was not enough to make it to Jeanie Buss’ latest list.

The owner of the Lakers shared her top 5 Lakers of all time, which had Kobe Bryant at the top, followed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, scoring leader LeBron James and Magic Johnson. Well, giving the fifth spot to Big Diesel could have controlled some damage. However, the 61-year-old President of the Lakers decided to put HOF coach Phil Jackson.

Just like the fans, Shaq was in denial too which he conveyed through his Instagram. Shaq shared Buss’ list and added a hilarious picture of himself as a reaction to the take. The LA legend’s supermodel son Myles O’Neal commented, “This is insane,” while 23-year-old Shaqir O’Neal commented, “Smh.”

Clearly, the O’Neals have decided how they feel about Jeanie’s list. However, considering the 61-year-old President’s praise for Shaq previously, the new list might not make a lot of sense.

Jeanie Buss’ double standards?

Shaq’s famous dunk statue was unveiled by Jeanie Buss and the Lakers in 2017.

Before the honor, Buss had huge praise for the 51-year-old as well. According to an NBA insider, Buss shared, “He is a giant not only in size but also in stature and what he accomplished as a Laker. Shaq literally broke the ground for the site…making it one of the most successful and famous arenas in the world”

All things considered, fans believe Shaq deserves to be on the list. But it looks like Buss might have changed her mind. The reasoning behind it is unclear. Perhaps she had to include LeBron James due to his potential free agency next season.
