She launched a suit against the Bryants. In retaliation, Vanessa Bryant filed a countersuit, claiming the information relayed was false. In addition, other facts came to light that tipped the scales in her favor. As The Source reported, Carter was responsible for berating both Kobe and Vanessa Bryant. “A*****e”, “f***ing devil” and “b***h” were some of the words referenced in the argument.

The narrative drove the jury to the side of Vanessa Bryant. Prevailing in the lawsuit and the countersuit, she was offered $1.5 million in attorney fees.
