However, Barkley embarked on a fiery rant, as the Alabama Crimson Tide prepares to face the Atlanta Bulldogs for the SEC championship game tomorrow.

Apart from being born in Leeds, Alabama, the Chuckster has a more special connection to the state, as he represented Auburn University in his collegiate career. His passion for Alabama sports was on full display as he discussed the Crimson Tide’s SEC Championship game against Georgia. While he has previously admitted to hating the Crimson Tide fans, he knows how good their current team is.

Barkley made an appearance on the Next Round podcast to give his opinion about the crucial game. He said, “I don’t like some of the stuff I am hearing on television and I know they get paid to do it. But, there is no way in hell you can leave an SEC Champion out of the Playoff. If Alabama wins they deserve to go to the Playoff. I don’t wanna hear what Texas did to them 2 months ago.”

The undefeated Georgia Bulldogs go into the SEC championship game as the clear favorites. However, despite the odds stacked against them, Alabama can count on the support of Charles Barkley.
