NBA legend Kobe Bryant was arguably the biggest name in Los Angeles during his with the Los Angeles Lakers. Bryant was a one-team man who played 20 seasons for the Lakers. He cemented himself as one of the best Laker ever winning five championships. Kobe also had a huge impact on the pop culture of the City of Angels as well alongside Shaquille O’Neal. Recently a musician from LA talked about the era of Bryant, Shaq, and Snoop Dogg during a podcast appearance.

The young duo of O’Neal and Kobe struggled initially in the playoffs. Furthermore, the beef between the two made things worse. However, the stars soon came together and dismantled teams.

A DJ opened up about Kobe Bryant’s passing

Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal led the Lakers to a three-peat. Despite the on-court success, their beef was blowing up behind the scenes. The two criticized each other openly as well. This brought an end to the duo’s time together. As the Lakers were hesitant about Shaq’s salary demands, they decided to stick with Kobe and build a team around him. The Mamba then became the main man in Los Angeles. However, the era of Shaq and Kobe will be remembered forever by the Laker nation.

Recently, DJ Valentino Khan made an appearance on the DoKnowsWorld podcast. During the show, the musician talked about a variety of interesting things and experiences. In one instance, the host asked him about meeting O’Neal and Snoop Dogg. The host asked Khan meeting which legend was “crazier”.

The DJ was not ready to pick one over another. He said, “I don’t know, it’s about equal. I can’t really rank it. It’s like you grew up in Southern California, especially that era, it was like Shaq, Kobe, and Snoop.” Valentino added, “That’s what tough about Kobe’s passing.”

Khan stated that the passing of Bryant was tough because a lot of people from California like him grew up watching him. He noted that similar to Kobe, Snoop and Shaq were also household names as an entire generation grew up watching them on TV and listening to them on the radio.
