The start of the festive season, kicking off with Halloween in the NBA, is bringing out the best fits from its superstars. Whether it be villains or horror movie characters, NBA athletes have shown off their creativity over the years. This time around, it was the rookie sensation from San Antonio that everyone’s collective eyes were on, and his costumed appearance did not disappoint. The iconic Slenderman?costume was perfect for his 7’4″ frame.

However, a discussion of the costume gave rise to some trademark hilarity between Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley.

When Ernie Johnson, showrunner for the TNT crew, brought attention to Victor Wembanyama’s costume, everyone was appreciative. However, as it turns out, O’Neal wasn’t aware of who Slenderman?was. But, of course, rather than a straight explanation, Barkley found it an easy excuse to poke some fun at the Los Angeles Lakers legend.

Even though Kenny “The Jet” Smith could not help but marvel at the costume, “That’s cool, that’s really cool,” Shaq had to repeatedly ask, “Who?”?

Charles was ready to offer up his wisdom leading to this exchange. “You don’t know Slenderman?” When the 7-footer had to admit to the negative, the Philadelphia 76ers legend pounced on the opportunity, “That’s because you’ve never been slim.”

The duo, and their banter, are one of the key reasons for the success of the show. It is a pleasure to see the new season bringing some genuine hilarity from the cast. Charles, in particular, has been in peak form.

To begin the year, the Chuckster had an incredible competition, courtesy of Ernie. While he could have taken Shaq’s help, his refusal led to some truly hilarious moments.

To check the former MVP’s NBA knowledge, the team put together a quiz, in which Charles Barkley would have to guess the current team of some players throughout the association.

On the first attempt, the player was Richaun Holmes. While the 4-time champion rightfully told Charles that the answer was Dallas Mavericks, the team he bet on to win the NBA Championship, the Phoenix Suns legend wasn’t having it. “I’m not gonna listen to you fool.”?

As it turned out, he got several guesses wrong, and was able to make the correct choice only a couple of times. But, in the end, his “rivalry” with Diesel?is what cost him some correct answers. It did, however, gift us with a truly memorable segment.

With the NBA cycle underway, expect to see more brilliance shortly from Shaq and the Chuckster.
