“Sorry Mom and Dad”: Shaquille O’Neal’s Daughter Pens New Year’s Message With Cheeky Apology

Taahirah O’Neal took ‘New Year, New Me’ to another level. She’s done with the dramatics of 2023. She rang in 2024 with style and that Shaq-style humor. Shaquille O’Neal should be proud she has his knack for Shaq-isms. Taahirah even apologized for being better at it.

“2023 can get the f*ck away from me. #sorrymomanddad,” Taahirah captioned her first Instagram post of 2024. It complemented a series of photos of her New Year’s look, a cool stripey LBD with a matching bag.

She spent the holiday with her friend who she tagged in her post. That is probably why she’s apologizing to her parents for leaving them on the last day of the year.

But she didn’t spend the entire New Year’s Eve without her family. Houston resident, Taahirah has been spending the holiday season with Shaq in Atlanta. They even went Christmas shopping together where Taahirah witnessed her dad’s super-sized generosity firsthand.

She went with Shaq to his first DJ event of 2024 too. Shaq said on The Big Podcast he’s got a packed schedule with shows at midnight and later at 1 am. Taahirah shared glimpses of his show from backstage too.

Shaq & Taahirah, the ultimate holiday duo

The universe’s payback to Shaq for pranking his teammates with his nudity is his prankster of a daughter, Taahirah O’Neal. This duo has been providing holiday entertainment since Thanksgiving. While pursuing her philanthropic pursuits through Big Chicken Shaq, she’s shared her ways to “irk” and “bother” him during their visits.

Shaq’s ‘Mini-Me’ is also infiltrating his multiple jobs. Apart from working at Big Chicken, she accompanied him to his job at TNT. The day was long and his “baby” was tired. So Shaq sweetly woke her up with his offkey singing.

She switched to dubstep mode, enjoying her exclusive backstage access to watch DJ Diesel in action. Shaq apparently dedicated a set to her too. This father-daughter combination is the gift that keeps giving. We need more Shaq and Aahirah shenanigans in 2024.
