“Somebody Died!”: Shocked Over the Desperation of $850 Million Musician, Dennis Rodman Once Flew Five Hours to Meet Ex-wife’s Top-Priority Demand

Among all of Dennis Rodman’s whirlwind romances, none was more sensational than his brief but dramatic relationship with the Queen of Pop herself. By the NBA champion’s own account, Madonna was absolutely besotted with him. So much that she apparently wanted a family with him. ‘The Worm’ has gone on the record several times to narrate scandalous tales from his relationship with the ‘Material Girl,’ including in his 2006 book.

Rodman was on an interview recently where he made a bombshell about his relationship with Madonna. He claimed that Madonna offered the NBA star a massive amount of money if they had children. In his book, I Should Be Dead, he revealed just how badly they tried to fulfill that contract.

On the court, Dennis Rodman was winning titles with the Chicago Bulls. Off the court, he was occupied with a lot. Besides a very turbulent relationship with Michelle Moyer and a short-lived marriage with Carmen Electra, Rodman was in a memorable relationship with Madonna. It lasted only a few months in 1994, but people haven’t forgotten about this lapse in time in pop culture history.

‘The Worm’ hasn’t been forgotten either. He’s in a relationship with another musician, Yella Yella, and got her face tattooed on his cheek. In a recent interview, he revealed that the hit-maker wanted to marry him and have children with him.

He claims that Madonna wanted to have children so badly, she made him an offer. She would pay him $20 million if he got her pregnant. Obviously, Rodman never got that money because they didn’t have a kid. But it wasn’t for the lack of trying. In I Should Be Dead, Rodman recalled one desperate attempt to get Madonna pregnant that involved flying between two cities.

Rodman was with the San Antonio Spurs at that time. Besides his conflict with the team, he admitted his relationship with Madonna gave him a taste of “international cele-bri.” He was painted as another one of Madonna’s flings in the media, but Rodman claimed it was deeper than that.

“Madonna wanted to have my babies.” He’d go on to reveal to what extent. He was once in Las Vegas, at the craps table, when he got a desperate phone call from Madonna in New York. “Somebody died,” He thought. But it was the songstress saying, “I’m ovulating! I’m ovulating! Get your a*s up here!”

Rodman was very compliant. He paused gambling for the night, took a five-hour flight to New York, and “did my thing.” And while Madonna stood on her head, he flew back to Vegas to continue his game. Sounds like any other day in the Worm Hole.

Madonna and Rodman never worked out

Rodman says in his book that they dated for less than six months. They never had any kids together, but Rodman is a dad to Alexis, Trinity, and DJ. Trinity is a professional soccer star and DJ is following his dad’s footsteps to the hardwood court.

Madonna would also become a mom. When disclosing the $20 million deal, Rodman thought out loud that he might not be the only one she made that offer. He insinuated that the pop icon had her daughter, Lourdes Leon, by offering a similar deal to her trainer, Carlos Leon. But that’s a farfetched theory with no confirmation.
