There’s something iffy going on among the Washington Wizards, and it’s making Kevin Garnett very emotional. His feelings are directed towards the newest addition, Jordan Poole. Anyone who’s been keeping up with the Wizards can see Poole is having some unexplainable struggles this season. That too after winning a championship with his last team. But the Big Ticket thinks that chip doesn’t count for much if Poole isn’t bringing the energy to the team.

The Big Ticket has had a few opinions on Poole’s career trajectory. So far, Poole Party is making the Celtics titan eat his words.

Jordan Poole concerns Kevin Garnett

On this week’s edition of Ticket & the Truth, the inevitable subject of Jordan Poole came up. After winning his first championship with the Golden State Warriors in 2022, the Warriors traded him to Washington this year. This 2023-24 season has been a lackluster Poole Party. Averaging 16.6 points in 13 games, he’s been reduced to a role-player with very little contribution to the team.

There was even an offbeat moment he looked lost on the court and an outsider in his team. Paul Pierce doesn’t even find Poole and his team a “must watch” anymore. But the fact that his friend and co-host isn’t watching the Wizards to have this discussion “crushed” Garnett, who has been keeping a close eye on the situation in DC.

Kevin Garnett is so devastated by Poole’s lack of energy, he said, “Some motherf****** are not built to be the man on the team.” He and several analysts have been predicting that Poole’s too used to Draymond Green carrying the team from his Warriors days.

Garnett got even more scathing when he said that Poole came to the team flexing a championship ring. They already have 2020 champion Kyle Kuzma leading the charge.

But KG said Poole isn’t bringing any of that championship energy to the Wizards. He went as far as to say that Poole, “don’t belong in the team.”

That’s a very ominous thing to say right now. The trade rumor mill is churning with speculation that the Wizards see him as a trade piece. KG won’t even give him that benefit of the doubt.

Jordan Poole changed KG’s mind

While he was still at Golden State, Poole had The Big Ticket in his corner. That rapidly changed.

Garnett shockingly apologized to fans for ever rallying them on Poole’s side at all. “I am disappointed. So what I was expecting him to come out and look like, ‘Okay, I’m out of Golden State. I’m out of this structure.'” Instead of showmanship, he was served with Poole’s arrogance.

Garnett had lofty predictions. He expected Poole to be in the top-5 scoring players this season. He even thought he’d make 60 points in a game. What he’s seeing from Poole now made him say, “You learned this in Golden State?”

He’s not implying that Poole doesn’t belong in the team, he’s saying he shouldn’t be in the league with that attitude. It’s unfortunately looking grim for Jordan Poole’s career on his current trajectory. He’d have to pull a miracle to change Garnett’s mind again.

What do you think is in Poole’s future?
