“Soft” Ben Wallace Terrorizes 53YO Comedian Just Through His Aura

The NBA is one of the most physical sports. While the current scenario has improved, players still frequently encounter intense gameplay and aggressive challenges. One of the league’s most aggressive and tough players was Ben Wallace. From going undrafted to becoming one of the most dominating players, ‘Big Ben’ was simply a beast. While his opponents still remember the athlete as the toughest one, a 53-year-old comedian has a different perspective.

During his latest appearance in the ‘All the Smoke’ podcast, famed actor Mike Epps was shocked to learn about Wallace’s fierce demeanor. Shocked by host Stephen Jackson’s opinion on the Detroit Pistons legend’s aggressive playing style, Epps detailed that the player was soft. “He (Ben Wallace) was soft though.” Both parties were quite shocked by the other’s statement. Finally, Epps admitted, “Ben if you see this don’t start that s**t, I thought you were soft.”

Wallace was one of the key players to lead the Pistons to victory in 2004. He was undrafted for being undersized, however, his fate called him back in the league to play with the Boston Celtics first, followed by the Washington Wizards, and then finally the Pistons. The infamous Pacers and Pistons Brawl got Ben Wallace suspended 

This is one of the most infamous fights to ever happen in the league. It was quite an odd one which involved both the players and fans during a Detroit Pistons game against the Indiana Pacers. During the game, Wallace was fouled from behind by former Pacers player Ron Artest. Following this, a physical brawl broke out and he shoved Artest with his hands. However, soon peace was restored when the game officials separated the two. But that’s not the end.

Before the officials could make a decision, a random fan named John Green hit Artest with his cup. The player didn’t take that lightly and immediately charged towards the audience seat and ended up grabbing the wrong person, Michael Ryan, and hitting him. Soon, some more Pacers and Pistons players joined him, leading to a big brawl involving fans until police came to restore order, while the game remained incomplete.

Following this, the NBA suspended nine players, including Wallace, for a total of 146 games. Because of this, he lost around $11 million from his salary.
