August 20 was a monumental day for Spain as their National Women’s Team won its first-ever World Cup. However, the mood soon turned sour following the medal ceremony where the President of the Royal Spanish Football Federation’s (RFEF) actions incited a flurry of responses. This became a topic of conversation on LarCus‘s podcast ‘Separation Anxiety’ as well. After denouncing the soccer veteran’s actions, Larsa Pippen expressed her disdain for what went down following that incident, even going against her beau.

Larsa Pippen shared her dislike for Luis Rubiales’ actions

In the latest episode of their podcast, ‘Three(some)’s a crowd’, the couple sat down for another intriguing conversation. As they began to discuss the topic, both of them shared their honest opinion with their fans. Larsa revealed her disdain for how the president did not take any responsibility for his actions and stepped down. Instead, he had to be suspended. 

Larsa wasn’t impressed with how her beau tried to justify his own statements. Marcus shared how the action could have been just a result of the president’s sheer thrill of winning the World Cup. He also claimed that in different cultures, certain actions are viewed differently. The 32-year-old mentioned that he had seen male coaches kissing male athletes after such kinds of monumental victories. However, he admitted that he would have lost it if it were his own daughter.

Nevertheless, Larsa was having none of it and claimed it was inappropriate. The 49-year-old said, “He did not step down; he refused. He was suspended. His mom went on a hunger strike to protest his suspension… He is not even accepting responsibility for what he has done. He got his mom to starve herself on his behalf. He is a grown man acting like a child.” 

Recently, the Spanish Football Federation’s president Luis Rubiales landed in hot waters for his behaviour toward Spanish icon Jenni Hermoso. During the medal ceremony, Rubiales was spotted kissing Hermoso on camera. As per the player and other reports, Hermoso didn’t consent to it. Since then, it has caused controversy amongst the sports world.

As Marcus shared that Rubiales’s action might be because of his excitement, Larsa chimed in with her opinion on a common human tendency. She said, “People show their true colors when they are excited, drunk, or like have emotions running high.” 

Larsa further mentioned that Rubiales might have a crush on Hermoso. Many fans immediately began to demand his resignation. There were several other sports celebrities who agreed with the fans, such as Serena Williams. Rubiales even offered an apology. However, that didn’t seem to have worked either on Hermoso or the fans.
