Shaquille O’Neal has been enjoying retired life for quite some time now. Along with pursuing new hobbies, some of which may not be the safest, he has been meeting new people and forming connections, both personal and professional.

A recent social media post by a Canadian businessman saw the NBA Legend partying with another sportsperson who owns the ‘Legend’ status as well but isn’t associated with the NBA.

Canadian Billionaire Jamie Salter recently took to Instagram to wish his friend, entrepreneur David Grutman, a happy birthday. He posted a picture where the duo was linked arm in arm with Shaquille O’Neal, David Beckham and his son Romeo Beckham. The 7 ft icon was seen obviously towering over everyone else.

Along with Grutman, the billionaire also tagged the other three people in the story The former Los Angeles Lakers player reposted Salter’s story on his Instagram, while Beckham posted a different picture on his story with the caption, “Happy Birthday to Mr Miami.”

Jamie Salter is the founder and CEO of Authentic Brands Group, a licensing and brand development company. Shaq and Salter have shared a partnership since 2021, after the former player became ABG’s second-largest individual stakeholder.

In 2022, ABG acquired a majority stake in Beckham’s global brand. The deal allowed the soccer legend to become a shareholder in the licensing company as well.

Shaquille O’Neal bid adieu to his 19-year NBA career in 2011. The former England captain hung up his soccer shoes two years later.

Since retirement, both players have maintained the spotlight oby engaging in various activities. Shaq took a job as a sports analyst for TNT’s ‘Inside the NBA’ show. Meanwhile, Beckham launched 7: The David Beckham UNICEF Fund, which has provided children from around the world an opportunity to break barriers that stop them from achieving their dreams. In 2018, Beckham was announced as the new Ambassadorial president of the British Fashion Council.

Through their brand endorsements, investments and other means, both the players have been able to increase their already large income. While Shaquille O’Neal boasts a net worth of $400 million, David Beckham takes the lead with a whopping $450 million. While the two share a professional connection via ABG, they have shared a personal friendship for quite some time. The duo was recently in the news after Beckham had sent his best wishes to the ‘Big Man’ on his 51 Birthday.
