Life as a commentator, analyst, or media member can be daunting. Especially, in the world of sports. Due to the repetitive and exhausting nature of the job, conversations can get tiring. That is the conundrum Charles Barkley finds himself in. After a nearly two-decade run as one of the most entertaining personalities on television, he is wary of certain topics. Like, the conversation around Michael Jordan and how it incorporates others.

Despite giving up on the whole MJ- LeBron James debate, Barkley cannot escape the conversation forever. Due to his foray into the mainstream as a basketball stud, those conversations are even more commonplace. But, in a surprising show of calmness, Barkley was ready to offer his opinion on the debate and the reasoning behind his choice.

While he’s never been shy about voicing his opinions, repetition in questions can get exhausting. Moreover, for a man like the Philadelphia 76ers legend who spends the majority of his time in front of the camera, that statement holds doubly true.

In an interview with Chris Wallace, Barkley was quick to answer some of the biggest questions about the NBA. Among them, the GOAT discussion was always going to be a relevant topic. But, the Phoenix Suns legend’s opinion isn’t changing.

Despite their differences, his answer will remain the same. “Michael. I love LeBron and Kobe but I played against Michael so I’m biased.”?While Wallace did not disagree whatsoever with Chuckster‘s opinion, it was unusual to see him offer a sober explanation for his choice.

Perhaps, it was a way for him to justify the sudden love fest. After all, earlier in the year, the Round Mound of Rebound was far more harsh on the Jordan questions.

Charles is over Michael Jordan’s commentary

Due to the history they share, both on and off the court, questions pertaining to the 6-time NBA Champion are common for the 60-year-old. Due to their common basketball greatness, discourse is perpetual for the two. But, their off-court relationship makes even more questions come Barkley’s way.

Whether it be rumors of rigging the NBA Finals or a $25,000 jewelry gift, the lore is rich for conversation. As a result, by his own admission, he is “sick and tired”?of talking about it. According to him, they aren’t a new age equivalent of the British Royal Family. As such, he would prefer to not discuss all things MJ for the foreseeable future.

Charles’ exhaustion with the topic of conversation is understandable. However, that has not led to a change in his perception of basketball or his choice of the GOAT spot. Regardless of his loyalties, Barkley remains objective in that regard.
