It’s the third continuous year that Harden has demanded a trade from the team. Despite several failed attempts and dramatic scenarios, situations have forced the 2018 MVP to stay with the 76ers. Barkley believes the Sixers fans are not going to entertain this.

The 1993 MVP shared on ‘TNT’,?“James Harden can’t come back to Philadelphia and fans ain’t going to have it. He can’t treat the city of Philadelphia like that”. Barkley also added that Sixers fans will not?“forgive”?Harden.?

Well, if you are wondering why Barkley feels so, here’s why. Barkley, who came from small-town Alabama and dropped off in Philadelphia, believes he must have ended up in prison. Barkley shared in an interview that the Philly fans treated a few of his teammates in an “awful” manner. A former teammate of the 76ers legend used to pick up two fouls within every five minutes of the game only because he couldn’t take the pressure. Barkley quoted his teammate’s words, “The fans, they leave me alone when I’m sitting on the bench.”

Barkley’s warning to Harden shows us that the latter will be treated in a similar manner when he returns to the court after all the troubles and controversies.
