Shaquille O’Neal’s Eldest Daughter Follows His Thanksgiving Tradition in Hometown Using Dad’s Big Chicken

Shaquille O’Neal is growing his sandwich empire with his strongest soldier. His eldest daughter, Taahirah, has been the most involved in his varied business interests for a long time. And she hasn’t stopped at just promoting her dad’s Big Chicken empire. She’s following his philanthropic personality in her own way. Taahirah O’Neal had every reason to share her kind act on social media with a thought-provoking statement about living up to that famous last name.

Music mogul and friend of Shaquille O’Neal, Damon Dash, said, “Hustle for your last name, not your first.…” That is the statement Shaq’s eldest child of six, Taahirah O’Neal brought up while looking back on her Thanksgiving festivities.

Shaquille O’Neal’s daughter continues family tradition

Before a family gathering with her dad, grandma, and extended family, Taahirah brought her friends together at the newly opened Big Chicken Shaq location for a good cause. She shared more pictures from the event on Instagram. “I was honored to host the inaugural Miss O’Neal’s Friendsgiving Giveback event at one of our family-owned restaurants, the @bigchickenshaq, in Richmond, Texas,” she wrote.

In a nationwide 300+ expansion plan, Big Chicken Shaq is developing at least 50 units in Texas. Shaq, his mother, and his kids are mostly based in the state. Taahirah is a resident of Houston and was excited to host a ‘Friendsgiving’ in the newest Big Chicken restaurant nearby in Richmond.

“With the area central to my hometown of Houston, I invited all my friends and family to enjoy all the BIG FOOD, BIG FLAVOR, and BIG FUN the restaurant provides,” she summed up the family and restaurant motto.

O’Neal spends Thanksgiving helping out families as much as he can. Taahirah also furthered her dad’s Thanksgiving spirit similarly. “The event benefited a non-profit dear to our hearts, the @fort_bend_family_promise, a 501c3 organization within Fort Bend County, Texas, that provides shelter, meals, and comprehensive support to families experiencing homelessness. We collected gift cards, canned goods, and non-perishable items at the door to support these beautiful families during the holiday season,” she said about her ‘Friendsgiving’ event.

Shaq usually treats families to Thanksgiving meals. This time he refurbished a basketball court in South L.A. and donated Reebok sneakers to 160 children. It’s just some of the things the O’Neal fam enjoyed together during the holiday.

O’Neal said he usually enjoys a quiet Thanksgiving by making himself a turkey club sandwich. This Thanksgiving though, Taahirah caught him discovering family friend, Kevin Hart, is a rapper. He’s currently enjoying the holiday week with his children in the Bahamas. But his entrepreneurial daughter squeezed in a bit of work.

Taahirah has always assisted Shaq in his business ventures with her marketing expertise. She’s even getting in on the Big Chicken action. She ended her Friendsgiving post on an encouraging note asking for more support towards Big Chicken’s charitable initiatives. And she’s also taking suggestions for the next Big Chicken location like the savvy entrepreneur she is.
