Famed NBA analyst for ESPN, Stephen A. Smith shared some details about the Kobe-Shaquille feud.

While it indeed is hard to point out what really antagonized their relationship. But what could be indeed said is their issue with O’Neal’s addiction. Back then, the 4 x NBA champion used to be a fierce player on the court. Highly competitive and talented, he proved he was undeniably a legend. But the issue was O’Neal’s diet. In an interview, when the Black Mamba was asked what would have happened if the big Diesel had the strict Kobe work ethic, he answered, “He was competitive; He was vindictive. I mean he was yeah I wish he was… I would had…12 rings.

In a conversation, NBA analyst Smith walked us through this particular moment of their feud. Here is what he said, “Everything that he (Kobe) said he has told Shaq to his face and even I had to tell Shaq in the past look man he knows Big Mac. Shaq was addicted to Big Mac. I am trying to tell you right like you know Kobe be out there working his b**t off  working in the gym.” 

Revealing O’Neal’s addiction to Big Mac, he said, “At this time he is wondering 350 and loved some Big Mac. He is like an addict, okay so that was just drive Kobe crazy and so Kobe has always been incredibly honest about how he felt to Shaq’s face”

He also sheds light on how the animosity between the players was quite intense. However, remarkably, how both players spent playing 8 seasons together with Los Angeles Lakers.

However, that was fine during his youth. Even if that caused some issues with Kobe as well. But he soon started to suffer many physical issues. He was diagnosed with sleep apnea and was on painkillers that did more damage than good.
