Shaquille O’Neal Owned Big Chicken Breaks Out With Massive Moves – Which American States Can Access the Renowned Fast Food Chain?

Shaquille O’Neal is on an inaugural spree as he continues to expand his famous ‘Big Chicken’ franchise all over the United States. The unique fast-food restaurant concept has been a successful venture so far in the majority of the locations. With sales over the roof, the Los Angeles Lakers legend has now decided to sell his stand-alone menu all over Massachusetts, for which he decided to pull in a few influential people. 

Shaq’s business strategy must be appreciated. In just 5 years into the food industry, the 4x NBA champion has already found a place for his franchise in almost every state in America. Already located in 17 states, Shaq will add one more to the books. 

Shaquille O’Neal’s ‘Big Chicken’ marks its entry into Massachusetts 

Shaq has managed to attract customers by just adding a few of his favorite childhood flavors to the menu. Small, yet effective strategies like this have been a huge reason for Shaq’s profitable business career and the same strategies will be applied in the new Massachusetts locations.

‘Big Chicken’ will be opened in 12 different locations in Massachusetts. A few main locations would be Boston, Metro West, Cape Cod, and North Shore. Massachusetts will be the 18th state for the Big Chicken franchise. But what attracted the minds behind Big Chicken to choose Massachusetts? 

Barry Lattuca, who helped bring the ‘Big Chicken’ to the new state, told Boston.com, “I think that Massachusetts is a very good market for this product. If you look at brands like Raising Cane’s and Chick-fil-A, they do quite a bit of business. We think there’s a space for us, as well.”

He added, “With a deep-rooted history in Boston and its restaurant scene, we are thrilled to venture into the exciting world of Big Chicken…When we went for the discovery day, we knew it was the right fit because we truly love the product and the passion behind it.” While the last few openings were at Washington, Carnival Cruise Line, and Tennessee, where did it all originate?

Big Chicken is already attracting massive numbers in other states

Big Chicken’s first restaurant opened in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2018. The franchise also operates in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Shaq’s most famous opening was in Houston, Texas, though. The Houston inauguration drew a huge crowd after Shaq announced he would be in attendance as well. 

With Massachusetts the latest state to get the Big Chicken flavor, we can only expect the franchise to open restaurants rapidly throughout the country. More importantly, the 51-year-old has found massive support in the form of his family. Recently, his eldest daughter, Taahirah, celebrated Friendsgiving at a Houston Big Chicken restaurant.
