‘Inside the NBA’ today has been all about NBA legends like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Dirk Nowitzki so far. Apart from heated takes from Jamal Crawford and Shaquille O’Neal, TNT decided to go down memory lane, only to joke about the Los Angeles Lakers legend.

The dig resulted in Jason Kidd’s MJ-Luka comparison, which triggered Crawford. He was upset that people are comparing almost every star in the NBA today to Jordan. However, Shaq agreed with him, and right after that, TNT telecasted some of Jordan’s best highlights to please Crawford.

Just as always, the 3-time 6MOTY was in awe of the G.O.A.T. He shared, “He played defense like he played offense. He playing like he is possessed”. Well, then came Shaq in the highlights. To which Jamal Crawford shared in excitement, “Come on Shaq, that’s you out there.”

The highlight showcased a turnover from the Big Diesel, which turned into a bucket for Michael Jordan. Crawford called, “That’s you, Shaq, that’s you,” as the entire crew laughed at the 2000 MVP. Well, it turned out to be a pretty embarrassing moment for Shaquille O’Neal. Anyhow, it’s Michael Jordan who stole the ball from him, so it’s understandable!

Shaquille O’Neal always takes a humble step down when it comes to Michael Jordan

Nobody might be as big as a fan boy of Jordan like Shaquille O’Neal. The 7 footer simply believes the 6-time champion is the best ever to touch the basketball and no one will ever be better than him. After the ‘Last Dance’ documentary, Shaq said that the series, “just solidifies the argument about who is the best player ever”, ignoring all the controversies around it. He added, “The fair thing to say is we should probably break it down by eras on who was the best player ever, but it’s Michael Jordan by far”

And apart from this, he used the 5-time MVP to criticize Jordan as well. The modern NBA’s lack of defense pushed Shaq to say Jordan would easily average 45 points per game in today’s game. While that is a debate for another day, it is pretty evident how he is always humble when it comes to Jordan. The respect for his idol will never end.
