When the season began, NBA-based podcasts made a return as well. Charles Barkley’s ‘The Steam Room’ and JJ Redick’s ‘The Old Man And The Three’ went back to their weekly schedule of releasing episodes. But ‘The Big Podcast‘ by Shaquille O’Neal showed no movement. No episode was released on YouTube and other streaming platform, leaving fans in a confusion. However, this is about to change.
Playmaker HQ announced that they are partnering with Shaquille O’Neal and his ‘Big Podcast Network‘. This announcement dropped in the early hours of 21st December 2023. In a report provided by Playmaker and PR Newswire, Shaquille O’Neal expressed his excitement around the most-awaited return. He said, “The Big Podcast Network will prioritize and uplift fresh and diverse voices that will expand the conversation beyond sports to include music, fashion, and entertainment.”

As pictures of the first episode were released, one could notice that Shaq’s OG crew, i.e. Nischelle Turner and Spice Adams were missing. Nischelle and Spice were Shaq’s partners in crime from the get-go. In previous seasons, they gave fans an abundance of laughter and put Shaq on the spot on several occasions. Information about them was absent in the announcement.
However, Playmaker claimed that TNT’s Adam Lefkoe had taken their spot as co-host. Lefkoe is a TNT Employee whom Shaq has worked with before. Despite this, it will be interesting to see how their chemistry flows on the show.
Furthermore, Playmaker HQ’s President Brandon Harris stated that the network shared Shaq’s emotion of excitement. He said, “From our first conversation, our visions were perfectly aligned, with both sides wanting to make a fun, creative, and authentic show.”

A new set, new decor, and a fresh crew – the surprising revamp has it all. With a black aesthetic, the studio is decorated with quotes and a huge picture of Shaq wearing a crown. As fans get accustomed to the fresh look, Playmaker’s news showed glimpses of the first episode.
It is shown that Shaq’s former teammate and NBA Legend Udonis Haslem would be the first guest on the show. As anticipation and excitement build, it is still unclear as to when the first episode will be released. With that being said, one can watch or listen to the podcast on YouTube, Apple Podcast, and Spotify.
