Shaq has achieved one of the greatest feats in NBA history, which is to win three championships in a row. But the Big Aristotle does not consider it to be the hardest thing he has ever accomplished. The Los Angeles Lakers legend has dipped his feet in various business sectors since his retirement, including the car washing industry. This became a topic of discussion on the recent episode of Owned by Rex Chapman, where Shaquille O’Neal joined as the special guest.

During their conversation, Shaq talked about his life outside of basketball and his business success. This led to the hosts asking Shaq a very interesting question, and he was the only one who could have answered it. Since he has done both, Shaq was asked, “Is it harder to three-peat or you know to run 150 car washes?“

The 51-year-old owns around 150 car washes. Without spending much time, Shaq said that it was harder to run 150 car washes. O’Neal explained that to have a successful business, a lot of things have to go right. Even things that we don’t usually pay attention to should go in your favor for you to succeed.

He also revealed various underlying facts that can help a business be successful. One small mistake can make you lose a customer forever. But if you do things right, then they will keep coming back.

Shaq said, “You got that Bluetooth speaker working, and you got some nice 80s music playing; the guy is already having a great day, and you enhance his day. Now he’s gonna tell his boy Rex. Then Rex is gonna tell the other Scottie Pippen-looking dude,” calling out someone in the booth who looked like the Bulls legend.

While O’Neal has won various accolades with the three-peat being the crown jewel, he still places his business accomplishments above them. But is it not hard to win three championships in a row?

In the early 2000s, Shaq and Kobe Bryant led the Lakers to three championships in a row. The team was great, but Shaq was the one leading the charge. Although O’Neal was the best player on the court every night and won three final MVPs in their championship run, there were constant feuds between him and Kobe.

Petty reasons fueled their animosity toward each other. Shaq did not like that Kobe had more jersey sales, while Kobe did not like that Shaq came to their training camp out of shape, even though he was the best player.

But the duo somehow managed to stick together and make things work. The Lakers remain the last team to have done a three-peat, and it’s been over 20 years since then. It just shows how difficult winning can be. For Shaq to say managing a business is more difficult speaks volumes.
