LeBron James and Erling Haaland are at two different phases of their lives. But they came together for a new promotion. The new video from ‘Beats by Dre’ called ‘The King and The Viking‘ follows LeBron James and Erling Haaland’s journey to where they are now and also gives an insight into their future goals. While LeBron is arriving at the twilight of his career, Haaland is just stepping into his prime. Though the visuals are of LeBron and Haaland, the voices that we hear are of their families.

In the video, Savannah James can be heard giving a pep talk to LeBron as he is about to play a game. During this, she asks him to prove people wrong and to keep doing things that people are not expecting. But a 7x champion warns Savannah that her dreams can have major consequences.

Is this too big a goal for LeBron James?

LeBron has already told the media that he plans on playing with his son, Bronny James, in the league before he retires. So if everything goes smoothly, it’s likely to happen in 2024. But in the new promotional video, Savannah can be heard saying, “Tell them you are not done until you play with your son (as Bronny is shown on the screen). And then do it again.” As she finishes saying it, Bryce is shown in the video.

This has left the internet buzzing. Bryce James will not be eligible for the NBA draft until 2026. This means that LeBron will have to play until the age of 42 to share the court with Bryce in the NBA.

Robert Horry was asked if he saw the video and his thoughts on it on the Big Shot Rob Podcast. Horry knows that LeBron is still one of the best players in the NBA. But even for him, it would be hard to keep playing until that age. Horry believes that he can do it if he manages his minutes and the number of games LeBron is playing.

But he knows that LeBron is not that kind of person. Every time he steps on the court, he gives it his best and plays with all he’s got. So this made Horry warn Savannah of her wish. Horry said, “If he does play with Bryce, when he turns 50, he’s gonna be in a wheelchair“.

But with how LeBron James has been taking care of his body and the level that he is playing at this stage of his career, it’s certainly feasible.

LeBron is an anomaly

It’s no secret that LeBron James is gifted. His body is different from that of an average person. It’s hard to determine if it’s because of all the work that he has done or if it’s just a gift from God. He reportedly spends $1.5 million every year on his body to keep it at its peak potential. But is that the reason why he rarely gets injured, and recovers fast from injuries that he does suffer?

LeBron James is currently 38 years old and will be 39 in a few months. He is currently in his 21st season in the NBA. Over the years, we have seen a few greats like Vince Carter, Kareem, and Dirk play 20 seasons in the NBA. But they were just a shell of themselves at the end. Last season, LeBron James averaged more points than all three of these legends combined in their 20th season. So it’s still hard to determine when he will actually slow down.
