An Instagram handle titled ?ballers_era? recently uploaded a reel. It features former NFL player Shannon Sharpe bringing up a topic with Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade during an episode of the ?Club Shay Shay? podcast. The topic was about whether Dwight Howard should have been a part of the NBA?s ’75 Anniversary? team.
Sharpe admits that Howard?s chances became slim due to only 75 out of 5000 NBA players being selected for the honor. The NFL star, however, also emphasized that the player should have been selected on grounds of being a ?dominant big?.

?I know a lot of people have a lot of things to say about Dwight Howard, his personality, or whatever,? said Dwyane Wade when discussing the issue. ?But when it comes to that man?s actual work, his body of work is undeniable?.
Crediting his record of being a 3x Defensive player, both Sharpe and Wade couldn?t help but accept the fact that the 2020 NBA Champion was one of the most dominant players seen on the basketball court. Highlighting how Howard was responsible for taking his team to the finals, Flash believes that the 8x NBA All-Star holds a place amongst the best that the NBA has seen in these past 25 years.
Shaquille O?Neal took to his Instagram account to share the reel with his 31.8 Million followers. He agreed with what the other two athletes had to say. Shaq sharing the reel helps to highlight the apparent snub that the 38-year-old had to face.
Shaq once took a dig at Howard’s ‘Superman’ nickname
Shaq?s stamp of approval for Dwight Howard?s snub comes as a surprise, given the fact that the two have shared a long-time rivalry. Perhaps now that Howard has left America to dominate in the Taiwanese league, Shaq is letting up.
Previously, the Los Angeles Lakers legend has been one of the most advent criticizers of Howard.

In his 2011 memoir ‘Shaq Uncut: My Story’, the former player highlighted a moment that took place right before the 2010 NBA All-Star break. Shaq’s Cavs were facing Howard’s Magic. After being blocked from all sides by Dwight’s team, Shaq decided to do something about it. He documents the event in his book.
?I decided to stir up a little controversy. I started saying, ?Superman, my a**. When I was a young fella, I played all the great centers straight up ? by myself. If you want respect, play me straight up?,? Shaq said.
