Sierra Canyon’s latest game against Coronado became a topic of national discussion. For the children of NBA icons, even a relatively meaningless high school game holds a ton of weight. Due to the presence of Bryce James, the younger son of LeBron James, the game had major coverage behind it. However, the 16-year-old wasn’t the only legacy kid looking to make his mark in that matchup. Along with him, was the youngest son of Scottie Pippen, Justin.
While Justin’s dad made an appearance at the game courtside, his mother Larsa was happy to share her exclamation via Twitter. Due to the dominant showing from SC, the team went ahead to a comfortable 82-55 win. With a simple, “Let’s go @JustinPippen3″ Larsa was in full proud mother mode, cheering on the youngster. On the James family side of things, all the members made an appearance at the game barring Bronny, who is traveling with USC for the collegiate slate.

For both the legacy kids, it was a strong outing as they continued to showcase genuine potential. James would finish with 8 points, 5 steals, and 3 assists in just 21 minutes, continuing his upward trajectory. On the other hand, Justin was the true hero of the night. The biggest riser in the school’s history would later even stay back for comments.

The youngest son of Scottie Pippen steals the spotlight from LeBron James and his son
By the end of the night, the 6’4″ PG had 21 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals against his name. With offers piling up all around, Pippen continues to show a strong commitment to the team and his improvement. “I feel like we all go really hard in practice and it’s just translating to the game…It was a great experience playing on a court like this so it especially helped the underclassmen with nerves and we were able to get the W.”
Later on, he would give credit to his father, 6x NBA Champion and Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen, for instilling the right mentality for the game. “My dad has just taught me to stay aggressive and have a short-term memory…It’s always that next-play mentality, and I’ve really learned that from him and my brother [Scotty Pippen Jr.].” So, Scottie for basketball advice and Larsa for dating rules is the deal.
