Who is Lola Falana?

Born in September, 1942, in New Jersey, Falana was the third of six children. At the age of 18, going against her father’s wishes, Lola moved to New York City to start her new life. In 1964, she eventually landed a role as the lead dancer in Sammy Davis Jr’s Broadway Musical ‘Golden Boy’, and her career took-off from there.

She started appearing in American Television Shows and movies, which catapulted her to fame instantly in the 1970s. Guess who was born in the year 1976? That’s right, the Boston Legend grew up watching Lola Falana on various TV shows and movies.

KG undoubtedly became an ardent fan, and who could blame him? Lola Falana was a beautiful, independent, talented black woman and there were not many like her during that era.

The Celtics legend indeed puts pen to paper on his thoughts with his social media activity. While the retired legend has plenty of time on his hands now, what is up to?

After retiring from the NBA in 2016, Kevin Garnett famously was offered the role of a commentator on TNT’s ‘Inside The NBA’. Apart from the TV work, the NBA legend has also played cameos in famous movies such as Adam Sandler’s ‘Uncut Gems’.

He also has a minority stake in the Minnesota Timberwolves NBA team, further cementing his ties with the NBA. He and his now ex-wife split in 2018 but still have friendly relations and take care of of their two daughters together.
