The music industry has lost some of its best talents lately. Tony Bennet’s sudden death last week sent a wave of sorrow across the world. Now, days after this sudden loss, another music legend has joined the list. Sinéad O’Connor, an Irish singer who started her career in 1987, made a huge impact in the music world. Her talents even got her an opportunity to collaborate with Canadian sensation Bryan Adams who shared his heartfelt condolences on Twitter. However, as always, Shaquille O’Neal stole the show.

Shaq’s love for music has always brought his creative side. This time the Los Angeles Lakers legend decided to go a step further by sharing a unique tribute to Sinéad O’Connor.

Sinéad O’Connor’s impact was witnessed right from her first album, ‘The Lion and the Cobra’ in 1987. This debut studio album is still being appreciated and listened to by fans from all nooks and corners. However, the big breakthrough was in 1990, with her second album, ‘I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got’. The record sold a massive 7 million copies worldwide. The early fame helped the Irish singer to even collaborate with Bryan Adams. 

On his Twitter, the 63-year-old shared, “RIP Sinéad O’Connor, I loved working with you making photos, doing gigs in Ireland together and chats, all my love to your family.”

Shaq’s love for music is also a never-ending tale. For some reason, the 4-time champion decided to add a rap tribute to O’Connor’s death on his social media. 

Among several hits from the Grammy winner, one which stands alone is her famous single, ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’.  Blackway, a famous African hip-hop artist decided to use this single to create a rap remix which Shaq added to his Instagram story

Billboard announced this song from her second studio album as the number-one single in 1990. While this video continues to take over the internet, let us see some other ways fans are commemorating the legendary musician.

Sinéad O’Connor’s death was rather sudden, but the cause is believed to be natural. Her early departure brought out the emotional side of the fans as they continue to mourn her passing on Twitter.

Sinéad O’Connor is also known for speaking about mental health. While there were several reports about the 56-year-old suffering from numerous ailments herself, she was an advocate for overcoming stigmas and a relentless force who used her platform for good. And for that, this fan wants her to “finally be in peace.”
