Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, and Stephen A. Smith are the undisputed maestros of mirth. Their commentary is a full-court press of humor and wit more exciting to fans that even a slam dunk. While one is a wordsmith spinning words in his favor, the two are legends who hit the hoop-like three-pointers. From Barkley’s too-honest critiques to O’Neal’s  “Shaqtin’ a Fool” moments and Stephen A.’s verbal dunks, these stars have undeniably redefined the sports show scene. 

Here is a brief segment of their best moments that keep fans laughing long after the final buzzer.

Sir Charles, Smith, and O’Neal indeed form an entertaining trio. Today’s broadcast seems to best instance of it. The ESPN analyst dealing with Sir Charles’ verbal argument remains the highlight. Teasing the analyst, the former Phoenix Suns legend said, “If you mess with any of my boys’ clothes” He added, “if you say anything bad about our clothes, there’s gonna be some damn furniture moving around here.”

The trio had engaged in verbal disputes before, and this certainly wasn’t their first encounter. To the warning’s response, Smith added,  “You ain’t scare me. You better watch your mouth. I’m not gonna take this from you tonight.”  In another segment, the 11x NBA All-Star went on to criticize Smith’s first pitch. Referring to the analyst’s embarrassing first pitch at Yankee Stadium, he said, “We know you can box but you’re definitely no Nolan Ryan when it comes to throwing out the first pitch!” 

The comment certainly got Smith’s face down with embarrassment, however, he had a better comeback. In his response, he said, “Sort of like you golfin”

There’s almost no end to the trio’s best moments. Earlier in the night, Shaq made the hilarious blunder of mistaking the Indiana Pacers‘ player for Trae Young.

Shaquille O’Neal’ “Cannabis” mistake 

Following the Pacers’ stunning performance, their star player Tyrese Haliburton joined the TBT crew for a conversation. During the conversation, O’Neal mistakenly named the 23-year-old player as Trae Young. He said, “I told Kenny, I said, ‘Kenny, Trae is the real deal,”  Further, he went on to blame “Cannabis” for his confusion. He said, “Ernie, it ain’t me, it’s the damn cannabis behind me”.
