The mentor-mentee dynamic might have been flipped on its head! Michael Jordan’s brand displayed some upcoming designs that seem influenced by Mike’s own protege, the Black Mamba. Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant‘s sneaker re-release is the talk of the town ahead of Christmas. While that has made some noise on the market, Jordan brand’s former Vice President Gentry Humphrey decided to show off a few unreleased kicks as a part of the celebrations too.

Humphrey brought in a unique concept of the ‘Christmas countdown’, where he reveals a few unreleased kicks of Michael Jordan’s brand for the festive season. The former VP has slowly gained attention over the days and clearly, he wanted all of it to reveal the “Snakeskin” Air Jordan 6, which has taken over the internet. What surprised the netizens most is that these unreleased kicks have a standalone feature, that is similar to Kobe Bryant’s ‘Grinch’ and ‘Reverse Grinch‘, which was re-released last week. The ‘Grinch’ has a mamba-skin type, which is a famous tribute to the 5x champion’s nickname, ‘Black Mamba’

The Air Jordan 6s were released way back in the early 1990s and it is surprising to know that they had already come up with the snakeskin so long ago. Looks like the Jordan brand was saving the best for later. These unreleased Air Jordan 6s have a mild army green color, with patches of white, closely representing the snake skin concept. There are a few more days left for Christmas and fans await some more insight into the unreleased kicks of the Chicago Bulls icon.

A look into another unreleased Jordan kick revealed by Humphrey

Well, it’s safe to say that Michael Jordan had a special place for animal skin-induced sneaker models. On yesterday’s episode, Humphrey revealed the “Cheetah” Air Jordan 5. The model was fully covered with the Cheetah skin and a brown colored base, attractive enough for the modern generation.

This would have been a market-hit if it was released in the 90s, because of the fresh concept it holds. The creative head behind the above two models was Gentry Humphrey, who has opened his own brand now after retiring with the Jordan and Nike.

Named ‘Code’, the business involves the sales of dress shoes. Although Humphrey is into a new venture now, his love for the Jordans is never-ending. The former VP worked 32 years with the organization and played his part in all the eye-catching concepts we have witnessed so far.
