Having interviewed Kobe Bryant at the 10th anniversary of the P.H.P. agency, Patrick Bet-David is one of the most widely respected individuals in the entrepreneurship sector. After fleeing his country at the age of 10, he went on to amass a net worth of over $200million and later published the book “The Life of an Entrepreneur in 90 Pages”. He has since gotten opportunities to interview various influential people, including the Black Mamba‘s former teammate, Shaquille O’Neal.

In a recent conversation, he explained how Kobe Bryant’s attitude changed the people that he has been with.

In a recent episode of ‘The Iced Coffee Hour’ podcast, the special guest was Patrick Bet-David. During the conversation, PBD explained how a solid structure is needed to produce a good leader. This transitioned into sports as he discussed needing a strong coach like John Wooden to get the most out of Bill Walton.

This made PBD talk about LeBron James and Kobe Bryant.

He asked, “When did LeBron become the beast that he is now?” PBD explained that people should follow how LeBron was after playing in the Olympics with Kobe. He said, “Kobe was maniacal. No one ever had the standards of Kobe.

Everyone who ever played with Kobe understood that he was extremely disciplined and hard-working.

PBD then went on to share the iconic story between the Los Angeles Lakers legend and Allen Iverson. Iverson wanted to party, and Kobe went back to the gym after dropping him off at the club.

After getting into a battle against Shaq for picking Kobe one time, it was good to see PBD continue his support for Kobe Bryant.

Shaquille O’Neal’s sit down with PBD

In 2022, PBD had an interview with Shaquille O’Neal. During the segment, Bet-David and Shaq decided to draft their all-time starting 5. Shaq had the first pick and Kobe Bryant. This made PBD question why he didn’t pick Michael Jordan.

They went back and forth, and eventually, Shaq said it was his team, so he could do whatever he wanted.

PBD picked Shaq as his first pick, and the Big Diesel then selected MJ, and now he has two shooting guards. PBD picked Hakeem Olajuwon to match Shaq’s method of picking. O’Neal then selected LeBron James, Bill Russell, and Karl Malone.

Patrick selected Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and finally, Dennis Rodman. Shaq replied that he would absolutely destroy PBD’s team. The two went against each other to sell their team to one another.
