Shaq gives credit post 75th Anniversary festivities
Back in 2021, the NBA celebrated its 75 anniversary by choosing the top 75 players in its history to be part of a special honor.
Held during the halftime period of the 2022 All-Star game, the 75 players were called upon to reunite and be part of a special ceremony.
Out of all the selected players, 45 of them were physically present. 15 of the players were honored posthumously since they had passed prior to the ceremony. The rest attended virtually.
Standing in a circle, arranged in accordance with their playing positions (Forward, Center, and Guard), the 45 players beamed as the surrounding crowd broke into cheers and applause.
Sometime after the ceremony, Shaquille O?Neal discussed the same with his TNT co-hosts Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson.
Stating that his speech ?is gonna be a little lengthy?, the Big Diesel would go on to thank Sgt. Phillip Arthur Harrison, the man who believed in him when no one else did. He would acknowledge players like Magic Johnson, Abdul-Jabbar, Dave Robinson and so many more for helping him grow better as a player.
