The latest NFL season kicked off with the Kansas City Chiefs facing off against the Detroit Lions. All eyes were on Kansas City star and 2x Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes, as people anticipated him to bring forward a similar level of prowess as last year. While the 27-year-old had a good first half, his fumble during the second half caused some problems for his team. The blunder was recently dissected by a controversial television host in a 47-word remark, placing “Michael Jordan Mahomes” in a not-so-pleasant light.

Known as a ‘LeBron James hater’, the 71-year-old made his feelings about Mahomes clear as the defending champions suffered a shocking loss.

No love for ‘Michael Jordan Mahomes’

A few hours ago, Skip Bayless took to his official Twitter account to send a Tweet to his 3.2 Million followers. The ?Undisputed? host castigated Patrick Mahomes for his recent performance during the NFL season opener.

Bayless kicked off his rant by referring to the NFL star as ?Michael Jordan Mahomes?. Patrick has been compared to the Chicago Bulls legend in the past due to the two MVP titles he achieved within six years and his general playing style on the field. The controversial host asked the reason for Mahomes? throwing skills being a little off.

?Did Mahomes ever miss (Travis) Kelce. Did he ever throw a bunch of wild off-target passes as the game wore on and he got more and more frustrated. Even the last Toney drop was behind him,? wrote Bayless in his tweet.

Everything seemed to be going well when Patrick Mahomes made an astonishing 1-yard pass to 23-year-old rookie Rashee Rice. The coordination and domination displayed by the team soon faced a speed bump when Mahomes made a short pass towards Kadarius Toney in the 3rd.

Toney was unable to hold on to a pass from Patrick Mahomes with 11 minutes remaining in the third quarter, and it reached Lions saftey, Brian Branch. The 21-year-old ran as fast as he could to cross the 50 yard line and score a touchdown. All in all, it seems like the game, and Mahomes in particular, didn?t meet the expectations of the 71-year-old host. He wasn’t the first superstar athlete to face Bayless’ wrath, though.

Skip Bayless’ constant criticism of LeBron James

Skip Bayless being critical of a renowned athlete is not a rare occurrence. Furthermore, it is not limited to American Football. The ‘Undisputed’ host is known to be a vocal critic of the Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James. From dissing The King‘s return after a 76 day break to downplaying LeBron’s chances to secure another NBA title, Bayless is not one to back down when expressing his true opinion against one of the greatest players in league history.

A recent example of the same occurred barely a few hours ago after the Lakers signed 27-year-old Christian Wood. Bayless ‘congratulated’ the new acquisition and asked the Lakers if they “can just get the NBA’s all-time leading scorer to score in 4th quarters of playoff games”. From Charles Barkley to LeBron James, people associated with the NBA share very little love for Skip Bayless.
