When KaVontae Turpin was hit out of bounds, one of the coaching staff on the Eagles sideline took a stumble. It messed up his clothes in the scuffle and revealed his undergarments.

That’s usually not a big deal. But the staffer, identified as Australian-import Matt Leo, wore an undergarment of choice that appeared to be a red thong. Or, so viewers think. It’s not the clearest. Fans have been speculating and analyzing what this one guy in the Philly staff is wearing.

Some have concluded he’s not whale-taling a thong but red and white underwear. Others want to believe it’s a thong to produce some classic Internet hilarity. Shaquille O’Neal is not one to miss out on such off-the-cuff moments.

The 4-time NBA champion shared a clip of that incident on his Instagram stories to get in on the action. He didn’t add any of his own responses but the video contains a post, “Who ever that guy on the eagles sideline with the RED G string… you can go home now!”

This fits right with Shaq’s sense of humor. And Leo’s whale-tail moment may have proven a lucky charm. The Eagles won 28-23, going 8-1 this season.

Everyone almost forgot about Leo’s minor wardrobe malfunction. But Shaq had to bring it to back to notice. After all, he’s been there too.
