Jordan Love is going to have nightmares. The Green Bay Packers were stunned during the final minutes of regulation during their divisional match against the San Francisco 49ers. With the off-balance throw from Aaron Rodgers‘ replacement getting intercepted, the team now finds themselves on a longer vacation after going down 24-21 against the 49ers. Though the criticisms towards Love are showing no signs of slowing down, Golden State Warriors legend Andre Iguodala remains impressed.

The 2015 NBA Finals MVP is a fan of everything that he has seen this season from the 25-year-old quarterback. “I’ve been watching Love for quite some time now. It’s something that the Green Bay does with their quarterbacks. They ain’t had a bad quarterback in decades…And this dude got it. I think him and (CJ) Stroud are like the next one,” said the 4x NBA champion.

Love rose to the occasion and proved to everyone that he belongs, and he is now presenting a case for being one of the top 10 quarterbacks currently in the NFL. However, the San Francisco 49ers were able to show some key weaknesses in his game to take over late.

While his skills on the gridiron were apparent, Love’s decision-making in the final minute showed his age as well. Throwing an off-balance pass with two timeouts left is definitely not what you want your starting quarterback to do when you are down by three points.

Even Love himself acknowledged that his mistake cost them the game. Jordan Love said, “I haven’t looked at it yet… Throwing it away, I don’t know if I had an opportunity to be able to run, maybe get out of bounds, but force it across the middle late, which is a mortal sin, and, you know, it cost us.”
