Now that Bill Belichick has parted ways with the New England Patriots, some of his diehard fans are manifesting their fantasy coach-team combination. One of those people is Kevin Garnett. Being in the Boston Celtics during his prime, he’d mention going to Patriots games for some motivation. But even he can have another favorite team. Garnett, who has often defiantly picked rivals over the Patriots, is kinda-sorta-maybe hinting the legendary coach could go to Texas. Specifically, the Dallas Cowboys.

Oooooooooo… man if the setup for Bellacheck to Dallas ain’t in play…. Then my bad I was looking at it wrong…” He wrote on his Instagram Stories with a splash of laughing emojis to downplay it after the Dallas Cowboys were humbled by the Green Bay Packers. He added the #BelichicktoCowboys hashtag going around to further this campaign.

So far, the Cowboys and Atlanta Falcons – the latter due to Rob Gronkowski – have floated around a few prospective homes for Belichick. The Cowboys were poised for a shot at the Lombardi Trophy after the stunning NFL run. But the shocker came during the NFC Wild Card game. Dallas upset the odds by falling 32-48 to the Packers. Analysts are already implying that Coach Mike McCarthy could be fired.

Kevin Garnett’s admiration for Bill Belichick

KG has followed Belichick’s career since he signed with the Celtics in 2007. He and his teammate and best friend, Paul Pierce, spent their off-court time watching their NFL counterparts play. Garnett witnessed that epic moment when Tom Brady made an unbelievable pass to Randy Moss to score a touchdown in a 2007 game.

That kind of play turned into remarkable motivation that helped the Big Ticket and The Truth combination win the 2008 championship. Even years later, Garnett still talks about that electric pass.

The ‘Bellacheck’ factor gave Pierce reason to pick the Patriots over the Miami Dolphins as winners of the AFC East Division on KG Certified. He was appalled Garnett picked the Dolphins. It was nothing against Belichick. After all, Garnett is now hoping Bill Belichick’s championship pedigree will revive the Cowboys.
