One of the greatest basketball players of all time has turned 61 years old today. Michael Jordan is being reminisced on this special occasion all over social media, but 30-year-old comedian Desi Banks decided to show a contrast. The Chicago Bulls icon is at least in the top five easily on anybody’s GOAT list (He’s mostly first). However, Banks’ top 5 is quite different. For starters, MJ is not in it!
The comedian joined NFL legend Shannon Sharpe’s podcast, where he was questioned about his top 5 NBA list. Coming from Atlanta, Banks wanted to add Dominique Wilkins to his list first. He also added Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and Magic Johnson in the same order. Sharpe, in denial, questioned, “You gonna leave Jordan out?” At least, Banks acknowledged that “I forgot Jordan.” So he made a small change to his list.
Without hesitation, Banks removed 5x champion Magic Johnson from the list, which again stunned Sharpe. “You taking Magic off ?!” Well, that’s a heck of a list, but at least Jordan is there in it.

It’s fair that Banks wants to keep Wilkins on the list. The Hall of Famer is a 9x All-Star and one of the most influential stars in NBA history. Moreover, the Atlanta boy is adamant about showing his city some love. But ironically, the 30-year-old was wearing a pair of white Jordans which he flexed in the podcast later

Despite the Michael Jordan snub, Banks backs it up with love for Air Jordans
Sharpe questioned the comedian, “If you got on white Air Force 1s, what’s the vibe?” Banks believes it should be something cool, and he used some props from the set to describe it. He mentioned the fireplace at Sharpe’s place and also sipped some liquor to enact the vibe of wearing the white Jordans. But when it’s the black Air Jordans, the feeling is a lot different.
Banks shared a comparison in football, where there are black Air Force 1 players and white Air Force 1 players. Looking at Sharpe, he said, “I would say you’ll be a Black Air Force 1 player. You was a dawg.” On the other hand, stars with white sneakers are “saucy” according to Banks.
