For the NBA All-Star Tip-Off presented by CarMax on TNT, the celebrated NBA Insider crew takes center stage. They include all the favorites – Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith, Ernie Johnson, and Charles Barkley. But a show featuring O’Neal and Barkley is not complete without the former trying something out on his favorite co-host.

This time too, he didn’t disappoint, as Shaq goaded the crowd into chanting “Barkley Sucks,” on live TV. The man in question did not have much choice other than to laugh off the light-hearted cheeky move by his close pal.

But it’s the ex-NBA bully, ShaqFu, we are talking about here. Don’t think Barkley has many options, do you? But this isn’t the first of its kind, nor, does it seem like, will be the last. With the Big Diesel looking for any and every opportunity to troll his Chuck, the 11x All-Star takes it in good sportsmanship. And wait for an opportunity to give back in kind, of course.

There was a similar situation during the 2022 All-Star Weekend too. The TNT crew was at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. And the lot of them gave the crowd quite a feast, too. The NBA Inside team put on a jam session for the audience, with Shaq as the MC. And that meant “Sir Charles” gets a special mention. Towards the end of his freestyle, the 4x champion gets the crowd to chant, yes, “Barkley sucks“.

Say what you want about the whole incident, but O’Neal undoubtedly killed that session! There’s no doubt that this group is the best to start the Tip-Off, ahead of the thrilling All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis.

The NBA and Adam Silver have ensured that this year’s All-Star is going to be unlike any other. The AT&T Slam Dunk, which was once the life of the All-Star Weekend, had lost its luster. But with Jaylen Brown‘s addition, the Dunk Contest is also back to its electrifying self.

The league also ensured that the All-Star Game is back to its traditional Western vs Eastern Conference format.
