From acting to activism, Gabrielle Union has donned various hats in her career. On Women’s Day though, Dwyane Wade’s wife took up a teacher’s role. The 51-year-old has always focussed more on teaching the right values to her kids. She has done that for her stepdaughter, Zaya, and continues doing that for Kaavia. In her Instagram post, Union shared a heartwarming clip of all their adorable mother-daughter moments compiled together.

Along with the video, she penned a sweet message and lesson she wants her daughter to learn. She captioned it saying, “Raising her to blossom in any environment 🌸 #InternationalWomensDay.” From enjoying on a beach to going crazy during karaoke, the reel consists of the best moments of the two together.

K. Michelle’s ‘A Mother’s Prayer‘ gives it an emotional touch. D-Wade also makes an appearance in the video, where the three can be seen taking in the sun on a boat.

In an interview, Zaya spoke about the beautiful relationship she shares with her stepmother. Furthermore, she mentioned the valuable lesson that Union taught her. Speaking of Union, Zaya shared, “It’s about being you and expressing yourself the way you want to. She (Union) tries to teach me that beauty standards are arbitrary and that they don’t mean anything,”

The 16-year-old model added, “They don’t matter anymore; what people thought was the standard is not. And just that being myself is the best technique out there.” The two are often seen wearing matching fits and flaunting similar fashion. The mother of four was also present at Zaya’s debut runway show to support her.
